Overview
I first discovered yoga in 2003. It was Bikram, and I went to teacher training and qualified in September 2003. I opened my first studio in Brighton, UK in December 2008 and my second studio, in Balham, South London in January 2015. I travelled to attend as many MBU events as I could. My first experience was 2009 in New York. The MBU 3-day sessions were new and small compared to the events we have today. I learnt very quickly that after each event my revenue grew by least 30-40% and I became proficient in using the Mindbody system. This not only saved me time but also earned me the reputation of knowing how it worked amongst my peers. Becoming a consultant on the first training of consultants was a natural progression. My strengths lie in sales and marketing, how to get a studio noticed by customers, and how to upscale them from new client to solid member. During this C-19 pandemic, I have become a trainer for other studios to help them set up online classes and promote the new offering. Your website is the key to your brand and it should market your services to existing and prospective clients alike, making sales while you sleep. I love working with yoga studios and fitness centres; I have also assisted a few dance studios. What I have achieved over the past 12 years of my relationship with yoga is this: I get me. I get who I am and where I am going. And I shall be shouting it from the roof tops. I shall be owning my power and, most of all, I will be unstoppable in my quest for love, achievement, and the right to be me—a passionate, Afro-Caribbean woman who knows who she is. Who is that you might ask? Well, I am a healer, a believer, a mother, a sister, and a wife. I am strong. My light shines bright and I can bring peace to a troubled heart and a restless soul. These are my God-given gifts and I shall be using them more to heal and release potential in all those that I meet. So, look out for me—I am coming your way.
